A few things to know

Use the account details Bottubbles gave you. Keep your password to yourself. Each person needs their own account.

The dashboard opens each service for you. A service may ask you to sign in again. If your details do not work, ask Bottubbles to check your account.

Request a movie or show

Use Jellyseerr when a title is missing from the watch library. Radarr, Sonarr, and qBittorrent are tools for the person who runs the server. You can request a title without using those tools.

1. Open Locate Media.

   Choose Locate Media on the dashboard, or use the button below. Sign in with your Jellyfin account when asked.

2. Search for the title.

   Type the movie or show name in the search box. Open its poster. Check the year so you pick the right version.

3. Choose Request.

   For a show, choose the seasons you want. Check your choices, then send the request.

4. Check its status.

   Your request may need approval. Open Requests later to see what is happening. Download time can vary.

5. Watch when it is ready.

   When the title says Available, open Jellyfin and search for it. For a show, check that the episode you want is ready.

Watch a movie or show

On a computer

1. Open Stream Media.

   Use the dashboard or the button below. Jellyfin opens in your browser. You do not need to install an app.

2. Sign in.

   Enter the Jellyfin username and password you were given.

3. Pick a movie or show.

   Open Movies or TV Shows, or use search. For a show, pick a season and an episode.

4. Press Play.

   Use the player’s speech bubble or settings menu to choose subtitles and audio. Use Resume next time to carry on where you stopped.

Use Nextcloud

Nextcloud is the Cloud Storage part of Bottubbles. Your own files and folders shared with you appear here.

1. Open Cloud Storage and sign in.

   Use the button below and the Nextcloud account details you were given.

2. Open Files.

   Choose a folder to see what is inside. Use search to find a name. Shared items may also appear under Shared with you or Shares.

3. Download a file.

   Open the three dots (…) beside a file and choose Download. On a computer, find it in your Downloads folder. Keep the page open until the download finishes.

4. Add your own files.

   Open a personal folder where you can upload. Choose + New, then Upload files. Pick your files and wait until the upload finishes. Use New folder to keep them in order.

5. Share a personal file when needed.

   Use the file’s share icon or sharing menu. Choose the person or link option your account allows. Check who can open or edit it before you send the link.

Movies, Shows, and GameArchive are shared download folders. You can save files from them, but you cannot change the shared copy. New accounts get 1 GB for personal files. The shared folders do not use up that space.

Watch without internet

Save a movie or a few episodes from Nextcloud before a flight or trip. Once the files are on your device, open them in a video player.

1. Get ready while you have Wi-Fi.

   Check your device’s free space. Install VLC if you need a video player. Movie files can be large, so leave extra space.

2. Find the video in Nextcloud.

   Open Movies or Shows. For a show, open the show’s folder and season, then choose the episodes you want.

3. Download the video file.

   Choose the file ending in .mkv, .mp4, or another video format. Use its … menu, then Download or the app’s offline option. A poster image or .nfo file is not the video. Download matching .srt subtitle files too if you want them.

4. Open the saved copy.

   Wait for the download to finish, then use the steps for your device below. If you downloaded a ZIP folder, extract it first. Videos only need a player; there is no setup script to run.

5. Test it before you leave.

   Turn on airplane mode and turn Wi-Fi off. Open the saved video, check the sound, and skip ahead. If it plays, it is ready for your trip.

After your trip, remove the downloaded copy to free space. In Nextcloud, choose the option to remove the local or offline copy. Delete may remove the cloud file too, if you have permission.

06 / GAME NIGHT STARTS HERE

Download and play games

Open GameArchive in Nextcloud to choose your games. The included setup is for a 64-bit Windows PC. Download your own local copy so the games can save your progress.

1. Make a home for your games

On your PC, make a folder called EmulatorGameArchive in a place you can save files, such as your Documents folder. Keep it outside a folder that syncs to Nextcloud or OneDrive. A local drive with enough free space also works.

In Nextcloud, open GameArchive and read START HERE.txt.

2. Download the base files once

Download each of these from GameArchive. Put them together inside your local EmulatorGameArchive folder.

• The full LaunchBox folder
• The full Emulators folder, including files inside hidden folders
• These four folders from Support: LibrarySetup, LaunchBox, Prerequisites, and RetainedSources
• Start Here.cmd
• Setup EmulatorGameArchive.ps1
• START HERE.txt

If Nextcloud gives you a ZIP file, right-click it and choose Extract All. Move the extracted folder into the right place below. Keep the names as they are.

Large folder downloads are easier with the Nextcloud desktop app. Select only the base folders and games you need. Wait until every file is local, then copy them to your separate game folder.

3. Choose your games

Open Games in GameArchive. Download the games or collections you want. Keep the same folders inside your local Games folder. For example, a PlayStation 2 game stays under Games → Sony → Sony Playstation 2.

For PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Windows PC games, download the whole game’s folder. For a game with more than one disc, get every disc. One EXE, EBOOT.BIN, or RPX file on its own is not the full game.

4. Run the setup

1. Close LaunchBox and any games.

   Open your local EmulatorGameArchive folder. Double-click Start Here.cmd.

2. Follow the setup prompts.

   Setup checks your files and prepares your game list. It may ask to install the included Microsoft components. If asked to restart, restart Windows and run Start Here.cmd again.

3. Finish LaunchBox’s first start if it opens.

   Follow its prompts, then close LaunchBox so setup can carry on. Wait for the setup window to say it has finished.

4. Read SETUP RESULTS.txt.

   This file appears in your local archive folder. It tells you what was added and anything that needs another step.

5. Open LaunchBox and play.

   Open the LaunchBox folder, then double-click LaunchBox.exe. Choose a game from your library and open it.

This setup runs on Windows. It does not set up games on an iPhone, Android device, Mac, or Chromebook. Some PC games have their own install steps; follow the notes for that title in your copy.
